What’s that value village smell?

Anyone know why value village clothes all smell that way? Even after several washes I can’t always get that smell out. Is it some sort of dry cleaning chemical or what?

That stuff is STRONG.

I tried to tell someone that their close was not washed or cleaned…but they didn’t believe me…he’ll were so obsessed with passing on germs and wiping down everything but when
It comes to trying on other people’s items, it seems to be ok…don’t get me wrong I have and
Will continue to purchase items from value village, even though their prices have increased.

As an ex employee of value village i can tell you that theres no washing involved when they get the stuff its sorting through and put out on hangers and it gets put out onto the racks in the store so im not sure what you mean by chemical smell unless you mean the smell of the chemicals from the janitors storage area

exactly. If it’s not saleable they toss it.

I worked there too. Would never recommend that company to anyone. Go to Jarrett or Salvation Army instead who are NOT FOR PROFIT.

        That company is crooked.
