Vet Venting

I have a 17 year old pet who is suffering and I finally made the call around today to see who could help me with pet euthanisation. I called the nearest vet who told me sorry, we are booking into July and August. REALLY? So I continue calling around to see who can help. When I called Cambrian Animal Hospital, the receptionist asked me if I was a client and when I told her that I wasn’t, she chuckled and said “We are booking in September hon” then hung up on me!! I was just taken aback and am bawling my eyes out!! I have a pet who is truly suffering!

Finally, I reached a vet practice, BAXTER, who was kind enough to take 3 minutes to explain to me that they, too, were booking months away but he gave me the name of the “Vet on Call”, supplied me with their number and assured me that they would be able to help me today. Baxter took time to explain to me that their would most likely be an added fee but I was ok with that!

I just cannot believe that the other vet practices couldn’t take a minute or two to help me with some information. I will NEVER, and I mean NEVER, take any of my pets to Cambrian because of their lack of compassion to a distraught pet owner.
