Looking for a long lost family member

Hello everyone,

I am trying to track down or find information on a long lost family member, whom my late grandmother, Jeannette Lapointe, may have given up for adoption sometime between 1961 and early 1966 in the Sudbury area. His name is Albert, and he may have taken my grandmother’s last name (Lapointe) or my late grandfather’s (Dubois). I have never met him, or seen a picture; this is something that was told to me by my late father and some other family members. This story has always stayed with me and now, being the age I am (30), I am wanting to know if there is any truth to this. Before the suggestions are made in the comments, I have attempted to search adoption/birth records, geneaology websites, and much more, but have found nothing. If anyone has any information, please reach out.

Thank you.

Most often people who are adopted can’t help but wonder & often do dna testing to find family. Sometimes you might have their children do testing. Eventually family is identified. Good luck!
