Gym Recommendation

Looking for gym recommendations for a gym beginner.

I know very little about the equipment, so just walking in and starting is intimidating.

Valley/New Sudbury preferred. Thanks!!

  1. Hmu if you need help and are going to world gym. I’m not an expert but I have a good handle on what I’m doing in there and I’m always more than willing to help show someone the ropes :).

  2. The basement fitness , they are amazing.

World Gym Basic package is 10$ plus tax a month 5.65$ Bi weekly. 19.99 plus tax 11.30$ bi weekly with the VIP package you get to bring a buddy Free every time you attend the gym, Tanning Booths, Classes, Hydromassage Bed, if you have children they have DayCare for 2 hours while you workout. You also can attend any World Gym if you travel, just ask for Travel Pass. To Enroll there is a Enrolment Fee, Card Fee, and Prorate your first 2 weeks. Both carry a Maintenance Fee in September and March for $24.99. Bring your Photo Government ID and your banking information and any staff member would be happy to assist you. Oh ya, You also are entitled to a hour consultation with a trainer and they can introduce you to the equipment. Getting healthy shouldn’t cost you a arm and a leg a month. Both memberships carry a 1 year contract. Come in and see what World Gym has to offer. If you are a female they also have a Woman’s only section.

  4. Almost every gym will help you learn the equipment if you tell them you are new to it. Do a walkthrough of a couple and pick one where you feel most comfortable and will leave you with the least excuses to not go.

  5. World gym. Thata where I went and everyone was so nice and helpful

  6. World gym!! I just started going to the gym aswell and they are very welcoming. I was also very intimidated of working out infront of everyone and found out that world gym has a small seperate room for just women, and its usually pretty dead in there. My friend and i go in all the time and try and figure out how to use some of the equipment. Plus its super cheap, 10-20$ a month depending on what u want. They have tanning, messages and instructed classes if wanted (yoga, zumba, etc.)

The Gym on Sparks St. off Lasalle behind KFC. Very reasonable prices and someone is always there to show you the ropes. Their bikini boot camps run 6 wks at a time and are a great way to learn the machines and very fast progress

  10. Try the The Basement Fitness on Lasalle behind Positive Inseption. They are fantastic and not very expensive either

  11. Andre Thibeault at APT FITNESS in Lively. Andre Thibeault is great with beginners. Very patient and listens to what you want and expect. Prices are very affordable. Andre’s number is 705 207-1861. Good luck!

  12. Check out Patrick Girards gym in hanmer. It’s at the old tasse dealership. He only allows 30ish memberships so it’s all private.
