Just wondering why it is acceptable for men to be mistreated by women and often made the brunt of jokes and taken for granted? Never had a guys night or allowed to talk about “guy” things as they are deemed not appropriate. Meanwhile my wife and her family have this toxic femininity about them. I can’t talk about it because “it’s all in my head”. Whenever I want to do something just with my spouse and I, her family get involved and her friends and shortly after I’m not allowed to attend the plan I made because now it’s a “girls” night only and I’m not invited. Yeah no shit I’m not invited, I planned the whole friggen thing!
Since when does the host have to invite themselves? I’m at the point where I don’t fucken care, I’ve been in this relationship 10 years and feel more alone than when I was single. Frankly, If housing was more affordable I’d be out on my own.
