Yeah they will force you to get your tires balanced even though there is nothing wrong with the balance in the first place. If they sell enough tire balances in a month, they might get a steak dinner.
Funny you say that because that is exactly what happened to me at Voyageur Tire. Thought I had a tire out of balance, took it there and buddy spun it on the machine for 5 seconds and said my tire is fucked. Took it to Palladino for a 2nd opinion and they found nothing wrong with the tire. Still using it to this day!
Probably wasn’t their item of the month to upsell that month. Some months it’s bushings, some months it’s belts, other months it’s flushes, etc.
