To sue for defamation you have to prove that what they are saying is not true. If it is true then it’s not defamation. For example, if they are saying that you are a lazy sack of shit then it’s not defamation if it’s true.
Well it would be hard to prove that a human is a “lazy sack of shit” so I would say good case if they can prove that was said and it lead to financial damages.
